Campus IT departments often have too much to do and too few staff members to complete their tasks. As a result, many are so focused on tending to their immediate needs that they struggle to be more strategic and take steps that will improve their cybersecurity over the long haul. We spoke with Peter Romness, cybersecurity principal in the Public Sector CTO Office at Cisco Systems, to get his thoughts on what colleges and universities can do to solve this challenge.
